New Design
Recently I combined what I learned from a workshop with Deland Anderson in painting with dots and transferred it into slip trailing with dots. I created my own slip and added 10% of a Baja mason stain I used on my sauna project years ago. I really like the brittle star design and I am hoping it does not flake in the bisque firing. As for the the bisque firing. The kiln is at the house and I hope to have the 220 volt wiring done my next week. I am placing an order for kiln shelves and more supplies. Also, the studio walls are coming along. I have to frame one more wall and put the ceiling joists in place. After that wiring, insulation, and sheet rock.
Kickstarter Project
Another project I have going is a Kickstarter project for helping defer my tuition at Penland this coming spring. I thinking about using this new design for rewards for those who help fund me in this project. It will give my a goal for the winter and get my pots in the hands of those who enjoy them.
